Eucalyptus trees belong to the myrtle family.
The tree is relatively fast-growing and is a true survival artist. It requires hardly any water, yet can absorb much moisture from damp subsoil. It has been planted to drain areas contaminated by malaria. It can endure great heat and germinates again even after devastating bush fires.
Through intense sunlight and great heat it produces a very aromatic oil in its firm and slender leaves that is used for medicinal purposes. Eucalyptus oil can mediate between processes of firmness and fluidity in the human organism. It has a very warming quality and gives form to processes that tend to be too one-sided.
External applications with eucalyptus oil have the effect of warming the organism through, making it cramp-relieving and anti-inflammatory.
