Guiding principle

Borage, found in many gardens, is a succulent plant that forms oval, crinkly leaves before producing a juicy stem. The leaves and stem are very hairy. Each little branch is crowned by a small, light blue five-pointed star blossom, decorated with dark stamens at the centre. Borage is a summer plant, flowering from June to August, beloved by bees. Although it seeks out sunny and warm places, it has abundant fluid and is always green. Due to the silica, mucilage and tannins in the plant extract it has a cooling, invigorating and structuring effect on inflammations.
