Guiding principle

“Stinging nettle (Urticaria urens) belongs to the annual plants, so it does not survive the winter and emerges anew every year from its seeds. It has separate flowers of both sexes on one and the same plant. The leaves are much rounder and more serrated than those of larger nettles. Only one (sometimes branched) stem grows from the root. The leaves have comparatively few stinging hairs, but their poison is more intensive than that of larger stinging nettles.”
“The tip of the innumerable stinging hairs is shaped into a tiny head. The head breaks off at the slightest touch, creating a very sharp injection needle. It penetrates the outermost cell layers of human skin with ease and releases the nettle toxin.”
“The substances contained in the nettle toxin (e.g., acetylcholine and histamine) persistently burn the skin.”
(L Fischer. “Brennnesseln, ein Portrait”, Naturkunden No:32, p. 30–33)

Arnica is exposed to the rough, intensive forces of nature in mountains, both low and high: warmth and light, cold and wind. Seen from the outside, its flower appears to be tousled, “deformed” by these forces; nevertheless, it succeeds in raising itself upright and in connecting its vigorous root with a radiant yellow flower (with a touch of redness). The stem area has fine silvery hairs and sparse foliage. The whole plant is permeated by a pungent aromatic oil that is particularly concentrated in the root area. Arnica supports healing processes where internal or external causes have led to tissue damage or even bleeding.

Combudoron gel contains both of these healing substances, small nettles and arnica. The active agents in nettle and arnica, combined in Combudoron gel, relieve pain, have an anti-inflammatory effect, stimulate blood circulation and promote wound healing. The gel forms a moisture-permeable protective film over the skin wound. Its substance reduces wound exudation and counteracts blister and scar formation. Combudoron gel is suitable for immediate treatment of first-degree burns of small areas and for further treatment of burns after the application of Combudoron liquid. It can also be used for insect bites and sunburn.
